Danquah Selected for SEC Academic Leadership Development Program

Michael Danquah, associate dean for academic and student affairs in the Tickle College of Engineering and a professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, was one of four faculty members at the University of Tennessee selected to serve as 2025-26 Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program Fellows.

The program seeks to identify, prepare and advance academic leaders for roles within SEC institutions and beyond. Since its inception in 2008, more than 700 faculty members have participated in the program, and many have advanced into senior leadership positions

Representing a range of leadership roles and academic disciplines, fellows gain valuable insights into the landscape of higher education administration while building a strong network of peers.

“I’m honored to participate in the SEC ALDP program,” Danquah said. “This opportunity will allow me to strengthen my leadership skills, collaborate with peers across the SEC, and bring back insights that can help advance student success, innovation, and staff/faculty development within TCE and the University.”
