Trinh, Sangoro Honored with College Awards

Two CBE faculty members were honored at the Tickle College of Engineering’s 2019 Faculty and Staff Awards dinner, held April 11.

Teaching Fellow Award

Ferguson Faculty Fellow Cong Trinh received a Teaching Fellow Award, jointly funded by the Charles and Julie Wharton, Frank C. Smartt, Weston Fulton, and McKamey endowments. The award is presented to faculty members who possess an exceptional record of graduate and undergraduate teaching, a strong performance in teaching-related service activities, and whose efforts clearly contribute to the overall mission of the college. It was established to reward superior teaching.

TCE Professional Promise in Research Award

Assistant Professor Joshua Sangoro received the TCE Professional Promise in Research Award. Sangoro’s research focuses on experimental efforts aimed at developing scientific frameworks for understanding the correlation between chemical structure, microscopic organization, and dynamics and how these relationships determine properties of relevance to current and future energy technology.
