Assistant Professor Carolyn Shurer was awarded a highly competitive five-year NIAID grant to study her potentially revolutionary theory for how flu viruses infiltrate human cells. 

The Eastman Unit Operations Lab purchased a ThermoFisher Varioskan LUX Multimode Microplate Reader, used in manufacturing biologically produced pharmaceuticals.

The department is welcoming two new faculty members to TCE, Assistant Professor Carolyn Shurer and Professor Gabriel Veith.
