Caleb Walker earned the AIChE Division 15 (Food, Pharmaceutical and Bioengineering Division) oral presentation award at the 2019 AIChE Annual Meeting.

Brian Davison, CBE adjunct professor, Chief Scientist at ORNL, and Chief Science Officer at the Center for Bioenergy Innovation, was elected to the AIChE’s Board of Directors.

Alum Brandon Wilbanks received a 2019 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and alum Matthew Gordy was lead author on a paper that began as a senior design project.

The department won second place in the inaugural Office Decorating Contest with its “Up” décor and costumes.

Woodi Woodland recently returned to UT’s campus after 15 months of internship and study at Germany’s Technical University of Hamburg.
